Britain’s Rebuilding Of Its Manufacturing Industry Step Up

The emerging business trend in the UK  is to re-shore manufacturing from overseas, particularly from China. Evidenced with Raspberry Pi returning electronics manufacture to the UK, and John Lewis’s commitment to increase it’s British made goods by 15%.

The pace of change in re-shoring manufacturing back to the UK is partly due to cost increases in China, increases in shipping costs, length of the supply chain, and also the need for flexibility and personalisation in product supply.
